Funding the work of Home Link
Home Link relies on grants and donations from a wide range of source and
supporters and works hard to keep funding coming in at an adequate level to cover staff and volunteering costs. Funding covers
the costs of:
- Employing good staff "on the ground"
- Recruiting and training volunteer befrienders
- Paying volunteers' expenses and funding outings for families
- Running occasional social events such as parties and barbecues for families
and befrienders
- keeping up to date with legislation and ensuring high standards of work with
vunerable families and children
- Providing good administration and management back up for befrienders and
staff
