What kind of support do befrienders get?

After the first visit the project worker will phone both the befriender and family to check how the visit went and that both sides are happy with the arrangement. Project workers meet befrienders for reviews after 1 month, 3 months, then every 6 months. This is to check how the match with the family is developing and whether the family still needs the same kind of support it did initially or whether there may be other ways of supporting the family. Befrienders can also contact project workers at any time between reviews should they wish to discuss anything.
